E-session venue: Check!

Finally after a few weeks of weighing our options, we have our e-session venue! I want an indoor venue because of the weather. Our weather nowadays are unpredictable, today it's really sunny and then the next day it's raining cats and dogs! Plus I know how hard it is to pose under the heat of the sun so I'd rather have an indoor shoot. Our first choice was Studio Namu. I have already researched and it has nothing but positive feedbacks. Peso Power: 6,000Php for 3 hours. I have consulted my fiance about it and of course, he asked me, "kaya pa ba ng budget yan?". We are preparing for a big wedding. (not that we wanted it to be that way, but my mother invited a lot of her friends, and we have no choice so we are just trying our best to save to have a decent wedding.) And then I looked at our expenses list and tipid moves! 6k can go far already, so I looked for another indoor venue. And the result is... We're having our shoot in our humble abode! :) The best thing about this is that have the venue for free!

Here are some photos that I have sent our photographer:

Now it's getting more exciting! Our prenup is scheduled on October and that is a month away from now! I must lose these fats asap! :P

How I said yes!

Hello everyone! I know I've been busy with work and all that so I was not able to update my wedding blog. I've been consistently posting my random ramblings here. For now, since I'm too lazy to look for suppliers this look weekend, I'm sharing you our proposal video last year. I know, we're engaged for more than a year now. I can't believe we're four months away from our wedding!!

PS. So sorry for my poker face when I saw the ring. It's totally unexpected! =P enjoy watching! :)

Reception Venue: Check!

This one is quite a challenging (I'd rather not say that it is stressful. No to bridezilla!) part for me since I've been on hiatus for quite some time. Because of my new work, I was not able to focus on my wedding preps. Not thinking that yes, 1-4-14 is a hot date and that a lot of couples are getting married on that date so I need to kick my ass and start searching again! Too bad, most of the venues are already booked. Oasis and Lights of love are already excluded on my list since we cannot afford the venue with the number of guests that we have. (300 it is.) Plaza Ibarra is too small for 300. Nanay is kinda picky when it comes to everything so I have to make sure that everything is okay with her.

I called Elements at Centris, (since it is near our church and it can accommodate 300 guests) and guess what, we're 4th on the list! So I need to wait for those three to cancel so we can have that spot. But then my mother is the brightest when she told me that she was able to haggle with the AE to have the venue! She called and immediately paid for the venue right there and then! Just got lucky!

Here are some of the photos that I got from a fellow girltalker's blog.

One down, a few more to go! :)

much love,

Prenup peg 1:check!

date check: August 14. So it's just four months and three weeks before our big day. (panic attack!) I was really panicking that I need to lose weight, to look good, and to save more for next year. I still have a lot of things to prepare for. (I am not counting in December for my wedding preps since everyone will be very busy during that time.)

So upon reading my source of suppliers and feed back Female Network, I have realized that I need to schedule my e-session ASAP. Some of the girltakers there have already scheduled their e-session and their weddings are later than mine! So I immediately sent a message to our photo and video team to schedule our shoot. I was really nervous when I got the message few days after I've sent the message. I have this paranoia of not getting things done on time. Thank heavens when they have already confirmed that Oct. 6 will be our esession day. Which led me to another concern, where to? What should we wear? Ideas!

I am not gifted with an artsy heart and hand, so I needed some help. I browsed the web, thinking of a creative (yet budget-wise) theme. Our wedding will be fairy-tale inspired, so John told me that it will be better if this time, we will be more playful. And (light bulb!) I have an idea!

Since I am obsessed with hello kitty, why not have a hello kitty-themed shoot?? (tipid move: I just need to score some hello kitty matching clothes with my fiance, some hello kitty stuff, which I already have, and voila!) Of course John said yes, since I am the boss when it comes to our wedding, and everything, hahaha! Takot lang nya!

For the venue, I am still thinking if we will have it in Studio Namu or Mn8. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll have a good deal in Mn8 since my former office mate is a friend of the owner. Hopefully I can come up with another idea this week so I can coordinate it with our photographer. :)

much love,
